- <p>This paper describes the aerodynamic drag acting on the tandem bike. Two full-scale models were employed for the wind tunnel tests. These two models can pedal the tandem bike. It was found that the drag depends on the pilot's helmet angle and the stoker's torso angle. The phase difference between the pilot's pedaling angle and the stoker's pedaling angle was also taken into account. The phase difference reduces the amplitude of the mechanical oscillation and the drag.</p>
