- 研究概要
- 認知課題を「なるべく速くかつ正確に」行うことを求められる中で、特に反応の遅れのモニタリングと関連する脳活動を明らかにすることを目的に研究を行った。その結果、反応に時間のかかった試行ほど、脳波θ帯域(4～7Hz)のパワーが増大することが明らかとなった。また、その大きさは、前の試行のパフォーマンスによっても影響されることが示された。さらに、こうした成分は、課題処理に対する被験者のモチベーションによっても影響される可能性が示唆された。
- 研究概要（英）
- In this study, we investigated brain activity involved in monitoring of response speed during continuous cognitive task, in which subjects were instructed to respond as fast and correct as possible. First, increase in theta-band EEG power (4～7Hz) was observed in slower responded trials. Second, it was shown that the theta-band power was modulated by the task performance not only in the ongoing trials but also in the previous trials. In addition, it was suggested that the theta-band EEG power might also be affected by motivation in solving trials as fast as possible.
